The town of Huerta is located at 16km close to Salamanca, just at
the point where the river Tormes changes the direction of its
course forming the so-called 'River Tormes Elbow'.
Place of fertile land bank and an area with evidence of
remains of prehistoric populations(so called 'The Vacceos').
Its beautiful riversides, now heavily exploited and the
different environmental sites of the river make of this area an
authentic ecological and cultural threshold between the city of
Salamanca and the area called 'Las Villas'. There are two ways
to get over here:
-First one it is accessed through the A-50 highway
between Madrid and Salamanca, exit 83 Encinas de abajo.
-Second one it is accessed through the A-62 dual
carriageway between Valladolid and Salamanca, exit 225 Gomecello.
